Paul has a history of helping organizations realize returns on their fiber optic network investments. He has held several key executive leadership positions with companies such as EPB Fiber Optics, Deltacom and OptiLink, and has served as advisor to Duke Energy, Georgia Transmission Corporation, and Georgia Systems and Operations Corporation. He is an expert in the areas of wireless backhaul, Long Term Evolution (LTE) deployment and Fiber to the Premise, and has operated several CLECs throughout his career.
Paul serves on a variety of industry trade organizations focused on providing communities with the broadband they need to grow and flourish. In addition, he is an important source of leadership and direction for his local community and church.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs.
TruVista Communications is a 120 year old company founded in Chester, SC, but has expanded to provide Broadband, Voice, Video and Security services to businesses and consumers in South Carolina and Northeast Georgia. Truvista Communications offerings range from triple play consumer bundles to the most sophisticated enterprise solutions.
Carla held several key executive leadership positions with BellSouth and ATT prior to starting her own business. She joined TruVista in 2014 where she is responsible for Network Design &Engineering, NOC Services, Field Operations and Plant Construction. She provides strong leadership in her community.
Carla received a BS in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Tennessee.
Columbia County Community Broadband Utility (C³BU) was formed in 2010 to build a fiber optic network to serve the Columbia County community. It received a BTOP grant to enable the construction and start of their fiber optic system. This enabled them to provide broadband services in their area to support growth and new technology. Since the second year of operation, the C³BU network has been cash flow positive.
Lewis joined Columbia County in 1985. He has experience and expertise in IT and fiber optic networks. His leadership in both the IT functions for Columbia County and the creation of C³BU is critical to their success.
Lewis received his degree in Computer Programing from the Augusta Technical College in Augusta. Lewis is active in the community and his church.
PFN/AVFN is a total communications company in northwest Georgia. They provide broadband services to their communities that include fiber connectivity into Atlanta. Deana serves as an advisor on compliance and building alliances for public-private partnerships. From 2010-13, she was the Program Manager with AVFN for a $26 million broadband stimulus grant funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. In this position, she was responsible for the financial stewardship of AVFN including capital and operating budgets, development and implementation of grant administration policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations for financial and compliance reporting of grant funds, procurement, and debt management. Prior to serving as program manager, she was the Controller for Parker Systems where her responsibilities included directing financial management functions that included preparing financial statements, AR/AP reconciliation, development of budgets, goals, and objectives to improve efficiencies as well as cash management. She also provided financial guidance to pursue the company’s growth strategy. Deana has worked with PFN/AVFN and its affiliates for over 15 years.
In addition to her work with PFN/AVFN, she is currently working with communities to develop broadband strategy and deployment plans with emphasis on economic development in rural areas of NW Georgia. In this role, she promotes the need to identify broadband assets, assist with local plans to drive internet usage, form alliances with internet service providers and explore innovative funding solutions.
Deana also serves as Treasurer to Benjamin F. Perry Ent., a property investment and management company.
Deana holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Georgia Southern University and Accounting from Kennesaw State University.
Ringgold Telephone Company was established in 1912. They have continued to grow and provide quality services to their community and service area in northwest Georgia. They offer broadband services through their fiber-optic network. Additionally, they offer other services such as security and high-speed broadband for both business and residential customers.
Philip joined Ringgold in 2001. He has experience in several areas of the company including Central Office switching, IP delivery, video, and transport networks. He provides important leadership to Ringgold today in the management of their Carrier relationships, dark fiber solutions, and a number of other areas to drive success for Ringgold Telephone.
Philip is active in his community and church activities.
Philip received his BS in Organizational Management from Bryan College and his MBA in Business from Bryan College.

NGN (North Georgia Network) provides state-of-the-art, low-latency digital optical network solutions to technology-reliant businesses and organizations across the Southeast. The 100G DWDM network is built on a 260-mile core fiber ring stretching from the Atlanta Metro (Telx) area into North Georgia, with access into Western North Carolina. In addition to dark and lit services, NGN operates colocation facilities with single-mode and dispersion-compensated dark fiber for long-haul applications, with the ability to construct new routes as needed.
Donna is responsible for NGN Carrier Sales, Sales Engineering and Business Development and is critical to the development and management of new product solutions. In addition, she serves as E-Rate Specialist for NGN and its Members. Prior to joining NGN, she served as Corporate Development Specialist for Habersham EMC. In this position, she oversaw the cooperative’s management coaching, process management, and continuous improvement efforts.
Donna has over 25 years of experience in project and process management. She is a certified Lean Systems and Six Sigma Green Belt, and is currently working on her Black Belt. She also has extensive experience with event planning, a skillset that she puts to good use as Event Director for the FNA. Her passion for hosting events is critical for both NGN and the FNA group. Under her leadership, the Annual FNA Conference, year after year, has been a success for both FNA Members and vendors.
